2017 - “Matches, Coffee, Tea” series

​

The series is named after the materials it is made from. Used matches, finished cups of tea and coffee — these are traces of ordinary, everyday things that have already been consumed and could easily be discarded.

The history of objects is connected to the history of a person.

The works were created during a period of change. They reflect a need to make art from what is at hand — from what one interacts with most often and what carries meaning.
